Heralded as a mix of circus cabaret and theatre, The Vampire Circus is a mysterious, tantalizing, fun, dark, cutting-edge production guaranteed to amaze the senses. The Vampire Circus has been called a mix of circus cabaret and theater and is the result of a fusion of Tim Burton and Cirque Du Soleil. Enjoy a phenomenal night of live entertainment, based on the multidisciplinary skills of International performers showcasing theater, dance, and gymnastics. This amazing show pushes the physical boundaries of human performance and leaves audiences amazed, astounded, and astonished. Mortal spectators will experience horrific feats of Cirque acrobatics, comical audience interactions, contortionists, jugglers, acrobats, and clowns. Tantalizing sounds, and mesmerizing illusions catapult audiences into an emotional roller-coaster of fear and joy, laughter, and wonder with raving cheers for a “Mad Graveyard Clown.” The 90-minute production is an immersive ride through the Underworld and Vampires. The Vampire Circus was inspired by the magical, captivating allure of legendary traveling carnivals — and a vision of Francisco Santos, CEO founder and Cirque Du Soleil veteran performer.

Now in its 25th year, “Boo at the Zoo” is here to fulfill all your autumnal and mildly eerie Halloween desires. With campus-wide daylight trick-or-treating, you have a total of six delightful days to relish in the Boo at the Zoo experience this season.

Take part in a festive scavenger hunt, create a seasonal craft, and enjoy a sweet treat. After your visit to the Barnyard, hike the woodland trails surrounding Weir River Farm to explore and experience all the beauty of Weir River Farm in the fall!

Celebrate the Harvest of the Sea at the 35th annual Bowen’s Wharf Seafood Festival! Named one of Coastal Living Magazine’s “10 Fabulous Fall Festivals on the Coast,” this beloved autumn tradition invites everyone to return to the waterfront after the summer rush for two days of fresh seafood, live music, and family fun. Savor local favorites including fish tacos, lobster rolls, stuffies, chowder, fried calamari, clams, oysters, and more—plus signature cocktails and cold beer beneath Bowen’s Wharf’s colorful tents. Neighboring restaurants and fishermen’s associations serve up their most celebrated seafood dishes, along with a few tasty options for landlubbers and kids. Save room for sweet treats like fresh donuts, kettle corn and chocolate covered fruit!
